LINDEN MACINTYRE was the host of Canada’s premiere investigative television show, The Fifth Estate, for nearly twenty-five years. Born in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, and raised in Port Hastings, Cape Breton, he began his career in 1964 with the Halifax Chronicle-Herald as a parliamentary bureau reporter. McIntyre, as a writer, has a wonderful way of bringing the big world out there into the backyard of inconsequential little no-place Port Hasting and changing a young boy's life forever. It was a time in the young boy's life when an insatiable curiosity to learn about the bigger world around him gripped his very soul and forced him to grow up in a hurry.
