I have used the "Step By Step" book for Windows 7 for many years and found it to be excellent. Everything I've needed to know was in there, well indexed, organized and explained. So I bought this newer one and have found the same to be true and in fact even better. I have yet to get Windows 10 and to say I am cautious is an understatement. This book is great help and has so made me think that this move to Windows 10 might just be a great idea. In the back of the book in appendix A it gives a step by step instruction to get your PC ready for Windows 10 if your are upgrading. I definitely recommend this book.

Intended primarily for novices to the program, it covers all aspects, from the intial installation through to producing complex documents and formats. In addition it includes separate in-depth chapters about each of the associated programs, and finally it includes a brief look at some of the third party software which has been specially written for the Windows environment.
