Transitional Justice and Education.

Transitional Justice and Education. This project addresses the role and importance of education for processes of transitional justice in contexts with histories of gross human rights abuses, war crimes and atrocities. Exploring the risks and opportunities of critical approaches to peace education in contexts of unaddressed, unresolved historical trauma. Exploring the nature, timing and outcomes of critical peda gogies in K-12 classroom settings in relation to learning about communal histories of violence and injustice, in the midst of efforts to promote intercommunity re-integration, healing and reconciliation.
