Excellent book for educators wanting to develop high quality, differentiated instruction. Differentiation has become a buzzword in education, especially in regard to the needs of gifted students. But too often, "differentiation" becomes extra work and enrichment, with teachers left stretched even further to try to meet the diverse needs of all of their students. This model helps educators to develop rich, meaningful instruction for ALL students. Not a quick fix; teachers may want to work together to develop one or two units with this model first, then perhaps develop an additional unit for the next year. OR, multiple teachers might each develop one unit on a particular topic, and then share their work.
