When I picked up my first Michael Bennett Book I didn't realize it was another series, but I think I may like this series better than Alex Cross.
When I picked up my first Michael Bennett Book I didn't realize it was another series, but I think I may like this series better than Alex Cross. I've rarely been disappointed in James Patterson books (every now and then there's a clunker, but overall very good) and I'm so glad I started this series.
Michael Bennett is a series of thriller books by best-selling author James Patterson. The series is the new bestselling detective series of the past twenty-five years. It follows Michael Bennett, an Irish American New York City detective, as he solves terrifying crimes and raises his ten adopted children. Step on a Crack (2007) – Michael Bennett must free the celebrities and billionaires held hostage at a First Lady’s funeral
Michael S. Ledwidge is an American author of Irish descent. He wrote his first novel, The Narrowback, while working as the back elevator operator for a Park Avenue Coop apartment building.
Michael S. His novel, Bad Connection was written while working as a lineman for the telephone company in NYC. His most successful writing has been several books he has co-authored with the best-selling author James Patterson.
James Patterson, Michael Ledwidge. NYC's number one detective, Michael Bennett, has a huge problem - someone is recreating the crimes of infamous killers from New York's history. The city has never been more terrified. A rash of horrifying crimes tears through the city, throwing it into complete chaos and terrorising everyone living there. Immediately, it becomes clear that they are not the work of an amateur, but of a calculating, efficient, and deadly mastermind.
AND. Michael Ledwidge. He found a seat at the last table along the north wall, with his back to the door of the Rare Book Division of the Brooke Russell Astor Reading Room. Little, brown and company. New york boston london. He pretended to play Sudoku on his nifty new iPhone until the only other person at the study table, a pregnant Asian woman in a Juicy tracksuit, got up twenty minutes later.
In the third Michael Bennett book, I thought that we were finally getting to. .I enjoy the Michael Bennet books more than any other James Patterson. I felt like "Tick Tock" displayed more of co-author Michael Ledwidge's touch.
In the third Michael Bennett book, I thought that we were finally getting to know Michael Bennett as his own character but in this one, I'm back to failing to see the difference between Michael and Alex Cross. Apart from the amount of children, these 2 characters are VERY similar and this could of very well of been an Alex Cross book if the character's names were changed. His family dynamic adds much to the story possibilities. Honestly, I haven't read any of his solo works, but this Patterson novel didn't feel so Pattersony, if you will.

Michael Bennett is back in this 4th book in the Michael Bennett series. I could almost sense the shift from Ledwidge to Patterson. While I still enjoyed this audio, it was probably the one I have enjoyed the least out of the series. Will I continue with the next one when it comes out?
Michael Bennett is back in this 4th book in the Michael Bennett series. While taking his ten (TEN!) adopted children to a seaside retreat with live in nanny Mary Katherine and (the hilarious and wise) Grandpa. What Detective Michael Bennett had hoped for was a little r & r and perhaps exploring his growing feelings for Mary Katherine, he uncovered much more than he bargained for when a rash of bizarre crimes tear through the city, terrorizing everyone who lives there I could almost sense the shift from Ledwidge to Patterson. Will I continue with the next one when it comes out?
