Jane Whittaker has awakened to a nightmare. What an amazing read :-) By Thriftbooks. com User, April 9, 2006. This book is one of the best I've read. I actually re-read it every couple of years or so (my copy is so old, it has a different cover to this one). It gets you right from page one and doesn't let go. I personally didn't see the end coming, but I've read almost all of Joy's books and this is the best by far. It's so good and if you are a fan of a good thriller, this is what you are looking for.

This would be a good story for someone who likes lifetime drama. I didn't do much research before I purchased this book and wish I would have. Right from the beginning I was annoyed with the various stereotypical descriptions of Jane. There are lots of phrases like, "shaking with fear." I found the lead character to be a slow learner, unable to deduce things, and generally a constant damsel in distress. I gave this book a good hour or two before I decided that it wasn't worth finishing.

To this day, this book still pops in my head when I come across small reminders and details that happened in this book.

Such a unique story about a woman who loses her memory and the whole time the book makes you think she is crazy but you come to find out that she really isn't and when you find out why and how she lost her memory......OOOOO MANNNN!!!!!

Quite the page turner. I made the mistake of taking it to bed and am very tired because I couldn't stop reading until it was finished. Well written, however there were times when it seemed a bit repetative. I thought I had it figured out half way through but boy was I wrong. Overall I would recommend this book, just make sure you don't have any plans for a while because you won't be able to put it down.
