I was hoping that the guess I made on about page 50 would turn out to be wrong (as a good crime novel takes you by surprise), but alas, no. Also our hero was in no way a believable private eye - the author was clearly trying to step a little outside convention, but this was both too cliched and too un-P. like to be believable. I also felt like there were a ton of loose ends at the end, and that the main resolution didn't really make that much sense. Caroline rated it it was ok Jul 20, 2011.
