Dr. Terry Sincich obtained his PhD in Statistics from the University of Florida in 1980.

Dr. He is an Associate Professor in the Information Systems & Decision Sciences Department at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Sincich is responsible for teaching basic statistics to all undergraduates, as well as advanced statistics to all doctoral candidates, in the College of Business Administration. Sincich is a co-author of the texts Statistics, Statistics for Business & Economics, Statistics for Engineering & the Sciences, and A Second Course in Statistics: Regression Analysis.

This book does a terrible job explaining the content. Some concepts are presented with pages of examples and others get a one-paragraph explanation & then moves on. I spent so much time on the internet trying to inderstand what the book was saying (or not saying) that I ended up buying a second book to help me understand the concepts I was trying to learn with this book. The chapters are stuffed full of practice questions, but it does not explain the answers for the practice questions. If you get a question wrong, you are left on your own to figure out why & how they arrived at the correct answer. The tone of the book is rather condescending.

STUDENTS BEWARE!!!! The item title of this textbook, says "Pearson eText -- Access Card Package". It doesn't come with it AT ALL. That was a $110 purchase when it doesn't include the access card package. It does say, "Access codes and supplements are not guaranteed with rentals". So basically its a crap shoot if you get it or not. Tried to contact the seller to no avail. Make sure you find out it comes with the textbook first.

You do not get every chapter. Apparently chapters 13, 14, and 15 are on a CD but not a part of the Kindle version. Kindle being a digital download does not provide access to these chapters. Am a bit miffed for the 150 dollar price I paid for the Kindle version but did not get the full book. Very shortsighted whether Kindle or the publishers, I do not know. Very fustrating!

Did not come with an access code (as advertised). When I contacted amazon...the only solution was to return it and rent another. They also recommended that I pay for overnight shipping myself. Although the book is advertised as having an access code, it says in the fine print that the codes are not guaranteed. My class has now started and now I don't have an access code to do the homework. Although I have had great experiences with Amazon Rentals, this has been disappointing and the title is very misleading.

Well its an easy to read statistics book. After purchasing the book I got a B+ in my college stats class the examples were really easy to follow and the solutions were all on chegg which made learning really easy. Recommend the book for college stats.

This book might be okay if you are learning in a classroom or hands on, but it is terrible for online learners such as myself. Even trying to find out the formula for a simple calculation takes about three pages to explain. Each chapter has such a ridiculous amount of information and the examples are WAY too descriptive. I have learned more about Statistics using Google than I have using this book. The only use I will get out of this book is to use it for kindling, because I'd rather waste my $17 than inflict this kind of pain on anyone else.

The book was correct, but the access code did not work for MLP (MathLabsPlus) which is required for my online class through the Columbia College of Missouri. I had to shell out the additional funds at Pearson for MLP. Make sure your class is using MyStatLab, not a different access version. Thay are all through Pearson, just have different names.
The My Stat Lab access is clearly indicated in description, this was my error. I am including this info in my review so nobody else makes this mistake.
If you only need the etext book, not a paperback that you can hold, you can go to pearsons website and buy the lab access that comes with access to the ebook ONLINE only. It can not be downloaded, but you can print some things.
