Still loving the series and moving through the books quickly!

Loved seeing David and Ieaun going back to the future. Seeing Ieaun's reaction to everything was priceless! I can't help but wonder though, without ID or cash, if they wouldn't have struggled a little more, even with Bronwan. And I would have loved to actually see the scene where Llywelyn was hurt and not just hearing about it.

I think that some reviewers need to understand this is NOT a standalone. Though you can read it first, it really won't make a lot of sense without reading the previous books, at least 1 and 2. There are a lot of place names and persons that are previously introduced in other books and it would be overwhelming to try and absorb all of it without previous reference.

Great job again!

This is the second book in this series ,There is enough scene setting to paint a picture of life in Medieval times. The political moves and treachery of the Border lords and English put Wales's survival in doubt.. Two teenagers Anna and David crash through the time barrier between modern America and Medieval Wales----right in the middle of a battle and ,scatter or mow down the enemy and save King LLywelyn"s life. Back a t the castle the two young people are treated as royalty . David is accepted as the King's son as he looks and acts so much like him and King Llywelyn has no heir. This sets the Kings brother on the path of betrayal as he is no long the heir. I love this series and can't wait to start book 3. Alice Boni

This series is very entertaining. You come to care for the characters as if you know them personally. Well written.
I have now read 7 of the books in the series. Each booked is as adventurous as the 1st the characters have each developed into strong individuals, even though David seems to be the main character.

My review of the first book in the series stands: "Okay, I'll admit it: I like sci-fi. I like fantasy. I like historical novels. I even am low enough to enjoy a well-written romance novel when I have the flu, or something... This is a marvelously well-written, complex, engaging story set in Wales in the 13th Century (mostly). The twist of time travel and modern folks in the Middle Ages just makes it easier to engage with the book. It's easy to fall into the story, to want to keep reading. I'm getting history lessons as I read, mind you, and I'm not at all annoyed by them. Found it hard to put down... I enjoyed it so much that I *immediately* bought the next book in the series, and will probably buy them all. Be warned about the addictive nature of this fantastic writer!"

I love the time travel story and the characters. As a lover of history, one of my favorite things about the books is that I learn so much about Welsh history and culture just by reading a novel. I've never been too interested in Welsh history before, but now I want to know more.

This book of the series is fun because of the time travel between the middle ages and the 21st century. I don't want to give too much away in this review, but I enjoyed seeing someone from the Middle Ages react to suddenly being in the modern world and vice versa.

As always, there is plenty of action and some romance in this second installment of the series. There are plenty of new characters to get to know and love, as well as, those we already know and love from "Daughters of Time" and "Footsteps in Time."
I definitely recommend this book and the others in the series. I'm currently re-reading the series and am enjoying as much the second time as I did the first.

Ms. Woodbury has done it right by bringing in just enough of the 21st century that could actually work in the Middle Ages. It wasn't that those in the Middle Ages didn't have curiosity about their world it was that just surviving took all of their time and energy and those in power believed that knowledge for the masses was dangerous. In effect knowledge is dangerous until everyone has the right to seek it for themselves then it becomes a great equalizer. This is the story of what a 21st century man and woman can do to change the thirteenth century without the technology of the future. Some technology from the future invades and is best explained by using the greeks and others but admittedly it is all part of arriving in the 13th Century. Quite the ride!

Historical fiction is at the top of my read list so I have much to compare this series with. I appreciate that Woodbury does a great deal of research about her characters and follows as much as possible the facts. Someone did not like the fact that she does not "flesh out" her characters by telling more of what they were like but the story itself tells that. I enjoyed the series so much that I bought it all and read the books one after another. I have more Woodbury books in my Kindles to read but I switch from author to author. If you enjoy historical fiction and don't need pages and pages of active sexual activity you will be please with Sarah Woodbury.
The book is unrealistic, yes, but I was torn between the inability to put it down, and forcing myself to stop reading so I could savor it/make it last longer. I had already read the other two in the series, Footsteps in time and Daughter of Time and this was just icing on the cake.
I loved the characters, the story line and the rich history. I have always been a huge fan of English history, and even of Edward 1, but I see it in an entirely new light after reading the Wales perspective.
I do like Medieval history, but this book (the entire series) is the first time I have read a book based on Wales that I have enjoyed so thoroughly. I am THRILLED Sarah Woodbury already has a sequel in the making. Loved it!
