Rosanne Bittner never disappoints As with Rosanne Bittner's other 17 books this one is a winner.

Rosanne Bittner never disappoints. The tragedy that initially brought the hero and heroine together rages in and out of their lives. Drawn together with lust and denying that same draw becoming love crosses through the action as they each save one another at times. In Central Colorado it all comes to a head. As with Rosanne Bittner's other 17 books this one is a winner. The theme, settings and characters are in many ways similar yet entertaining in their own right. I have enjoyed all her books, some more than others, but recommend all of them.

I fell in love with Rosanne Bittner's work when I was in high school and have been reading her ever since. Her work is full of romance, tragey and laughter. No one writes the old west like she does. This title is no exeception when I first read it I stayed up all night long to finsh it and have been reading over and over again since.

IMO no other Western Romance author can match the realism that you will find in Rosanne Bittner's books. I first read "Love Me Tomorrow" in 1998, I shed a few tears at the ending of this book in 98 and I'm shedding them as I write this review. Maggie a very wealthy young bride from a prominent Pennsylvania family hides her feelings of doubt and agrees to join her husband Edward on a wagon train to San Francisco during the height of the California Gold Rush. Edward is not feeling loved or appreciated by his dominating father, he believes the trip West will finally break the ties that bind him to his father and a life that is intolerable. His dream is to sell supplies to the miners in the gold fields and establish supply stores in San Francisco. It does not take the reader long to realize Edward has no common sense or strength of character to make this trip successfully. The only smart thing he did right was to join the wagon train that Rafe Morrisey was leading. Rafe is more than competent in getting his wagon train to California. Whether they are facing natures challenges, Indians or rowdy men Rafe is the go to guy that knows how to handle his business. I absolutely love how RB write action scenes, its like watching a movie her writing is extremely vivid. But it is Maggie that carries this story. To read about how she evolved from a clueless young bride into a strong independent woman was a welcome change of pace. You can always count on RB to write about strong women. The trip West will force Maggie and Edward to understand that what they thought they needed in each other was a poor comparison to what they found during this trip. Edward had to find the strength to continue to live a lie or continue to push Maggie away. Maggie is faced with many hard choices, one of them is her husband the love of her childhood and Rafe the love of her womanhood. The romantic tension between Maggie and Rafe will have you eagerly turning the pages to see if they get a HEA.

I am really into this author these days. Her books are very detailed and very informative as to how it was to live back in the mid-1800's and be one of the early settlers heading for California. One really has to have the utmost respect for those who persevered under such difficult conditions. The hero of this story was great--the strong, skilled, fair, courageous scout who takes his responsibilities to the emigrants seriously. I think the author portrayed the heroine's loyalty to her husband and marriage in a realistic manner. It was interesting to see how the rich, formerly pampered heroine adapted to her rough circumstances and did what she needed to do to survive. The ending was great but I would have liked a few more scenes added on such as the hero's initial meeting with the heroine's sisters and their families as well as the wedding itself. The author really knows how to weave an in-depth story that kept me enthralled. My only issue is that at the end there was a one-year period of separation between the H and h which I didn't particularly like to see. Other than that, it's a great book and I highly recommend it.

I think Rosanne Bittner writes history at its best incorporating it into her Historical Romances. I have learned a lot of American history by reading her books.

This one was wonderful and I throughly enjoyed it. I really appreciate her lack of vuglar words and steamy sex. Ms. Bittner shows that one can write an excellent story that readers like without x ratings. Thanks!
I have been a fan of Rosanne Bittner for years, and aside from her 7-book series, this is her best. You absoloutly CANNOT put it down. The way that she can weave a tale of love, triumph, and heartache are unmatched.
