The beginning was good. After their contract the book turned very boring. **Spoilers** Very unbelievable that a gorgeos guy ready to pay for female company acts this way. He was like a boyfriend from heaven and considered only her wealthfare and sexual pleasure, never demanding, always understanding. Yeah sure. Our heroine signed a detailed contract but never did as she had promised - she was no mistress, she was merely a pampered and very naive and stubborn, cold girlfriend. She took him as granted. The author kept describing their attires and meals in such detail I wanted something really dramatic to come and break their smooth daily routine - sadly it never happened. There was no tension, no drama, nothing surprising. Just " OMG I'm in love with him I have to get away - why did you run away I love you too lets get married' - kind of stuff. Booooring.

The premise is a little different. The male characters are still rather cardboard. Ms. Bianchin favors ruthless alpha males. The language is a bit less awkward than usual, though I've only read three of her works. Production potboiler writers seem to hook their stories to odd details. Roberts to her characterizations, Neels to her road trips, cars, furniture and food. Bianchin is always on about bathing and fresh underwear. And 'killer heels', usually black. It's a quick read. As with all romances, the point of reading is to see how the characters get to their happily ever after.

A sweet tale of illness, theft, legal contracts, death, mind-blowing passion, and finally...true love. Mikayla would do anything to spare her ill father from spending his last days in jail. He had embezzled money from Raphael so he could care for his terminally ill wife. Before he could repay it he is also stricken with a terminal illness. Mikayla offers herself to Raphael in return for immunity for her father. Raphael is intrigued by her delicate beauty and accepts. There follows a lovely tale where a business arrangement turns into the love of a lifetime. Grab this book! You won't be sorry!!

This was a strong read. The characters were well developed, but the book felt too short. I felt there needed to be more sharing of Rafael's past and an epilogue would have been perfect. I enjoyed the sweetness of the relationship that developed between the characters. I recommend this book, but gave it only 4 stars because it was missing a much needed element for closure.

Ms. Branching never disappoints. Well written and keeps you reading. If you love a love story, this one has it all. Good times, sad times, real-life situations. Will recommend to all.

I found this to be refreshing delightful read I find that the books of new have way to much detail and this was a delightful fast easy read the love the sex the reason all was so easy to go along with

Nice easy read. No over bearing super arrogant alpha male here. No unneccessary angst or insult to the heroine. Just a simple sweet story of two people spending time together and realistically falling in love.
The every night sex was a bit tedious though...and unrealistic. Lost one star for that.
I liked the book, but didn't love it. The storyline is a little bizarre and there isn't a real beginning to the relationship, at least not what you expect in a story of romance and passion. The book isn't bad though just restrained. The main characters do have chemistry and some good dialogue so I plan to keep it and reread it.
