Unity, known informally as Unity Church, is a New Thought spiritual movement that has no dogma. Unity was founded in Kansas City, Missouri by Myrtle and Charles Fillmore. Unity brings together common teachings of the world’s religions to find teachings of Truth. Unity is an affirming, welcoming organization with local centers across the world. It has been described as a "positive, practical Christianity", although its teachings have been influenced by many of the world's religions.

How can the church walk in unity? In this passage Paul calls for the church of Philippi to be unified. Even though in many ways they were a model church, they were not a perfect church. They had many threats to their unity. With friends, it may be a common ethnicity or hobby. These commonalities help us be unified. This labor for unity is also done through the Spirit. Listen to the fruits that he bears in our lives to help us be unified: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23).

Such movements by churches toward accepting in Christianity are clearly a sign of apostasy. If they don't believe God's word in such a fundamental issue, how can they be trusted to understand God's word in other issues?

In the local church (. a diocese), the many faithful and clergy under the one bishop are united with one another in Christ, and are in communion with him in every aspect of the life of the Church, most especially in the celebration of the Eucharist.

In the local church (. As St Ignatius of Antioch taught: ‘where the bishop is, there let all the people be, just as, where Jesus Christ is, we have the catholic church ’. Each local church celebrates in communion with all other local churches which confess the true faith and celebrate the same Eucharist.

This book has a very modest intention. It is designed to introduce the topic of the ecumenical movement to a wider audience, especially those studying the Christian Church and Christianity in the past century. The ecumenical movement is a process through which many of the Christian churches are seeking to overcome past divisions and to be visibly united in common faith, worship, and service. Throughout the twentieth century, the many expressions of the ecumenical movement have affected all aspects of church life, its worship, theology, mission, and service in every part of the world.
