This is essential for all writers. If you are an aspiring writer or published author, this is your Bible of writing.

A side note: Remember that you can bend some rules for your work. Giving your own personal touch is necessary and makes it more interesting, but don't stoop so low as to completely ruin the grammar or your readers won't make it very far.

Excellent book but -as noted by another reviewer- it looks like it was produced using a printer that was running out of ink. Some pages of the text look very fuzzy while others are so light that they are impossible to read. I requested a replacement and will update this review as soon as I receive it.

Update: the replacement is as bad as the original.

I bought this book after it was recommended on the Grammar Girl podcast. She highly recommended it and so do I. I have been using it with a group of 8th graders. It is easy to use, easy to read and easy to understand. It is also organized in a very useable fashion. This is a great grammar resource.
