Love the relaxed and typical "Firehouse jargon!" A wonderful book that deal with all the good and bad aspects of being a first responder. All chapters has a "Feel Good" feeling and is a must read!

Used this for a Public Safety Administration course. Although it was nice to have a class with such a small book, I think the book itself is extremely overpriced...especially seeing as it was published in 1996.

This book was an easy read. Every fire fighter should have to read this book. A lot of the Ideas are a little over top, especially if you are in a busy career department. The general ideology is solid and should be strived for by all volunteer and professional departments.

Great and easy read.

The book provided great information on the subject.
Even though the material is a bit dated, the concepts are still very much relevant to the fire service of today. I think it should be mandatory reading for any new employee.
