I found this to be a pretty good book detailing informative history on Tom Jones' early years, his family/friends, career highlights, and some great pictures throughout too. This is an earlier publication on him, but is good reading however, like most books on him out there - it has included the personal storytelling of his alledged affairs, which brings nothing special to the storyline. Maybe this should be left out, I really think so - it's extremely personal and whether or not true tales, it doesn't add anything to the reading. Loyal fans love his voice, his music and his family - He deserves respect for all of these. I was pleased with purchase, book arrived early and in great condition. Would recommend book, and therefore seller too.

Tom Jones is perhaps the greatest vocalist ever and when you look back over history and realize what a tremendous contribution he has made to music and entertainment it is mind blowing. Even now in 2010 he is still out there with that great power and range singing at concerts all over the world and re-inventing himself as an artist. Since the 1960's he has been hammering down as only he can and with his unique style there is no one like or comes close to Tom Jones.
This book gives a good insight into the history he made and chronicles a lot of the highlights of his amazing life but like most biographies a lot is still missing. One day maybe Tom will write his own bio and leave no stone unturned and open up his heart with honesty and reveal his innermost thoughts about his God blessed life and we can then see inside his soul. A soul that comes alive when he sings and performs as only he can. Tell us about it Tom.
