As a long time guitar student and enthusiast, this opens a window on the early forerunners of modern guitar playing. The author is clear and concise and was a participant in this era. The transcriptions are not for the novice, but advanced students will be rewarded with excellent charts of great guitar woks arranged by the best of the periods.

Great stuff. Plenty of transcriptions and notes on technique.

Serious accuracy problems in these transcriptions. That goes for volume 2 as well. I don't think I've seen guitar transcription manuals as problem-ridden as these, and I've seen many.
