Tanya Mars is a multi-disciplinary performance artist who has been actively involved in the Canadian artist-run movement since the mid-70s. She was a founding member and past Director of Powerhouse Gallery/La Centrale in Montreal, which was the first women's art gallery in Canada.
Tanya Mars is a multi-disciplinary performance artist who has been actively involved in the Canadian artist-run movement since the mid-70s. During the 70's and 80's she was a member and secretary of the Association of National Non-Profit Artist-Run Centres (1976-1989), a national lobby group for artist-run centres.
Johanna Householder is an American-born, Canadian performance artist. In the 1980s, Householder, Louise Garfield and Janice Hladki were members of the feminist performance ensemble The Clichettes, using lip-synching and humour to critique contemporary culture.
