English writer and journalist, author of New Lives:New Landscapes. Her brother, Rex Fairbrother, taught landscape architecture at Manchester and then in Australia. Nan Fairbrother also wrote a book on Men and gardens. Nan Fairbrother argues that since the patterns of our lives have changed, profoundly, it is necessary to facilitate evolution of the surrounding landscape. The photographs and captions in her book reveal a keen observation and ready wit.
