I assume it met expectations. The book was not for me but for my son who is taking classes in another state. If the book was not satisfactory I would let you know. Having to give a review every time is really getting tedious.

As of 2013, the data is off, of course. I took a SOC class with this textbook, and a lot of what this book informs is common sense, don't really need this if your professor have ppt slides or writes on the board or you take notes yourself. If you want up to date data, get the newest edition for this.

My school wanted 137$ for this, i paid 6$ on amazon and 4$ for shipping. when I told my professor he announced it to the class that if they hadn't open theres to return it and buy it on amazon lol. my school GRCC is running its own monopoly with federally funded money.

I loved this book, because it taught me a lot about society. Society does not help its people like they ought. We still have old earning laws, and the poor cannot live off of $2.00 a day. That's stupid.
