For commandments that can be observed today, I have also provided citations to the Chafetz Chayim's Concise Book of Mitzvot (CCA refers to affirmative commandments; CCN refers to negative commandments; CCI refers to commandments that only apply in Israel). Commandments that cannot be observed today primarily relate to the Temple, its sacrifices and services (because the Temple does not exist) and criminal procedures (because the theocratic state of Israel does not exist).

This is good for the average(Christian) reader, one who may want a knowledge of Hebrew or jewish law? There's not 10 but 613, but...good effort!

As a Christian seeking a better understanding of the law, I have found this introductory book to be very helpful.

I am planning to read this book few more times before searching for a more in-depth book.

This book is exactly what I wanted. One comment, not serious: the mitzot are listed as so many positive and son many negative which makes it difficult to compare to lists that put all 613 in a single list. The comments on individual mitzvah are excellent.
Wel
Interesting, clear and easy to read.

This is a very nice text for the student of Torah. However the way some of these listed are somewhat out of context how the Torah intended them; no fault of the author. Excellent work..
It is impossible for ANY human being to follow 613 commandments, After reading this I'm convinced I'm going to hell!
