1933: Characters In Crisis. Herbert Feis (born on June 7, 1893, in New York City, died on March 2, 1972, in Winter Park, FL) was an American Author and former Economic Advisor for International Affairs to the Department of State in the Hoover and Roosevelt administrations. Feis was the Author of some 13 books and won the Pulitzer Prize for History for his work, Between War and Peace: The Potsdam Conference (1960).
