How exactly did NIcolae succeed Dej? What did people think when Elena joined the politbureau? Where did they live? What was their relationship like? How and when did they interact with the general population? How did they justify their lavish lifestyle? . I read this book from beginning to end and I feel that the stories Mark Almond has to tell are quite true, as verified by stories from personal interviews.
