In the Name of the Father: The Story Behind Child Custody. Susan Crean was born on February 14, 1945 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is the daughter of John Gale Crean and Margaret Elizabeth (Dobbie) Crean. 99044/?tag prabook0b-20. During the period from 1965 to 1966, Crean attended the University of Florence. In 1967, Susan graduated from the University of Toronto, where she got Bachelor of Arts degree with honors. Two years later, in 1969, Susan attained Master of Arts degree at the same university. The following year, in 1970, she graduated from the École du Louvre.
