Series: California Natural History Guides (Book 48. Among other excellent work, author Mary Hill has written two delightful books about California geology and geography: this work, "California Landscape/Origin and Evolution," and "Geology of the Sierra Nevada.
Series: California Natural History Guides (Book 48. California Landscape" is particularly engaging and informative, taking the reader through all of California's landforms and their history in and understandable and exciting way. I have read many books about California, especially its geology, and this is truly one of my favories. I am getting an extra copy of this one for a friend.
