In 1996, JeanMarie left the Chicago Tribune to start Frontera Foods with partners Rick Bayless, Manny Valdes and Greg Keller. by JeanMarie Brownson. Frontera Foods quickly became this country's leading gourmet Mexican food company. The group sold the company in 2016 to Conagra Brands where JeanMarie helped bring Frontera frozen entrees to life. She left Conagra Brands in 2018 to start JMB Food Consulting. JeanMarie is the Culinary Director and writer for 12 seasons of the Public Television Show "Mexico-One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless.

NOTE THAT THIS COOKBOOK CONTAINS RECIPES FROM THE 80's TOO, WHICH I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED FROM THE 1989 COPYRIGHT. BUT, I WAS LOOKING FOR CLASSIC RECIPES FROM THE 50'S, 60'S, ETC.

I had recently been able to tour the Chicago Tribune Test Kitchen. When a friend showed me the Tribune Cookbook, I went straight to Amazon to see if I could find it. It was exactly as they described it. Fun to look through and am working through the recipes. Since I teach Foods, I thought it would be a nice addition to my collection.
