These are The Ingredients of Love: a delightful heroine, a mysterious hero, romance, Paris, and beaucoup . I loved every moment of being transported to Paris in this charming, disarming novel about matters of the heart.

These are The Ingredients of Love: a delightful heroine, a mysterious hero, romance, Paris, and beaucoup de charme! ―Ellen Sussman, New York Times bestselling author of French Lessons. A frothy exposé of the perils of book packaging, seasoned with a soupcon of culinary courtshi. overs of Paris and voyeurs of the French publishing scene will find much.

The Ingredients of Love book. There are no coincidences  . I picked up The Ingredients of Love because of the description, the main character Aurelie discovers a novel that changes her life so she feels she must meet the author and while trying to find a way to contact the author she meets his publisher, Andre - I mean come on, what bibliophile wouldn't be intrigued by that description?!?

Nicolas Barreau he beginning of a book, is like the first glance between two people who do not know each other. And then there are writers who say that they cannot begin a novel without knowing what the last sentence is. John Irving, for example, is said to work conceptually from the last chapter back to the beginning of his books, and only then to begin writing.

As an armchair traveller I do so enjoy novels set in Paris, and this book hits all the right spots, it has an ingenious plot which keeps the reader guessing, and enough mention of streets, areas and scenes in Paris to delight the reader. Whar more could one ask?

Another fun read set in France. I really liked the characters! Wish I had thought up this idea first... a book editor-turned novelist who meets his dream girl who just happens to be a chef. Actually, I wish I were her!

Deceit, lies, and self absorption should not be the winning recipe for love. Took a long time for me to actually become engaged in this story. Characters didn't come to life until about 1/2 way through. Characters still were not very likeable. Story was predictable. The tremendous focus on an unfamiliar setting (Paris) was a distraction for me. This story would definitely be more interesting for a person who speaks French and has at least visited Paris.

It was a little predictable but still a nice summer read. Something easy and fun. VERY light reading for the poolside it would be perfect. I like a little more intrigue but it's okay.
