Very good book. I liked all the people and the ranch. Nice touch renting rooms to people. Loved the outcome.

Great book. Loved it. Last book she wrote for Harlequin American line, even though she's still alive. Good read. Recommend it.

For the Love of Texas is not a book I don't usually pick up and read Harlequin books if I have others to choose from, but at this time, it was the ONLY one I had to chose from when I went on vacation and finished the books I had brought, so...I read it. I was pretty shocked to find I enjoyed reading it.
The main Character, Claire, is a nurse that does home health care, wherever the job takes her. She doesn't have a family, and as she puts it 'you can't miss what you've never had', and she's convinced herself he doesn't need or want one.
When she takes a job at the Parker Ranch caring for the family matriarch, Mae Parker, she's planning on doing what she's always done before: Don't get attached to the patient, or their family. But, she didn't expect that Mae had other plans for her!
This is a story of family in the truest sense, and proves that you don't have to share blood to be family.
Ginger Chamebers did an excellent job of creating characters that you felt you've known for years. You knew their joys, and pain. Your heart broke when the characters cried, and you shouted in joy when the characters found their true path in life. You found yourself friends with these fictitional characters, and it's proof of a good author.
One of the most heart warming books I've read in a very long time. I definitely would recommend reading it if you want a good cry and a story to show the good side of human nature.

Cassie Edwards left her "odd" mother and her hometown of Love Texas when she turned 18 and swore to never come back. She was teased and isolated as a child because of her mothers strange behavior. Now she is back trying to make a land deal for a strip of land owned by ranch owner Will Taylor, through her employer. She expects it to be a quick, easy sell as the family needs the money to save the ranch, and then she can get out of town! With past bad feelings between the Grandfather and Uncle have made it difficult to finish the deal. Adding Cassie's growing attraction to Will, and Will to her, and her getting close to the family, her exit is questionable. Cassie has to face past demons with the town and her mother. It was a cute, easy reading romance book. I thought it was a bit drawn out, but still a good read.

This seems to be the last book in a series (most are out of print now). I have read one of the other books in the series and I am not sure how well I would have followed this one without having read it. Though that one was in the middle too and was fine. Anyway, this was a good read, though a bit on the light side for romance. Much of it focused on the family and tying up lose ends. It seemed to be the resolution of a good series. Claire is a great character who has never had a family to call her own - unlike the Parkers who have more than they know what to do with. Tanner has never really felt a part of the Parkers and is lost now with the pain of his best friends' death. It was a good book and I'm sure was a nice ending to the series, but it didn't seem like much of a romance on its own.

This was a well-written, clean romance, with a good storyline and defined characters. I don't usually read contemporary romances, especially westerns, but this was definitely worth the read.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily offering my honest review.
This was a story of a young woman who left her home town and hoped to never go back. Things changed due to business and she made some interesting discover while home. Excellent story.
