Mysteria Nights An omnibus of novels by P C Cast, MaryJanice Davidson, Susan Grant and Gena Showalter. And so, nestled in a beautiful valley in the Rocky Mountains, the town of Mysteria was founded. Once upon a time in a land closer than anyone might be comfortable with, a demon high lord was sent to destroy a small, starving (and, let’s face it, weird) band of settlers who were fleeing the last town they’d tried to settle in (a place eventually known as Kansas City, Missouri, the Show Me State, which did indeed show them. Over the years, it became a refuge for creatures of the night and those unwanted by traditional society. No one-or thing-was turned away.

This is a great set of short stories set in the town of Mysteria. A demon high lord felt sorry for a group of travelers that were both supernatural and regular people and created a town just for them. The hi-jinks and laughs that happen to their offspring is just hilarious and sometimes sad. This is from some of today's best authors. You just can't help but love each set of characters and root for their redemption, laugh at their luck, cry with them and just love them. I highly recommend this. I wish the authors would team up again and bring some more stories from this town!

NOW I see all of the reviews that say this is not a new book. I preordered this book and was very excited to read it. I opened it and wow! What a disappointment, it is just the first 2 books reissued together. WHY doesn't Amazon tell you these things? I would give the books 5 stars, but feel cheated since I already own the first 2 books and now I have them again. It costs almost as much to return a book as what it is worth, so I'm going to chalk it up to a learning experience and NOT preorder from Amazon again, but read the reviews first to ensure that it is not another publishing trick.

I love love love the Mysteria stories! So I was all atwitter when the new book came up in preorder. Needless to say, my excitement dimmed considerably when I opened the box, only to see the cover state the now obvious news that this was a compilation of the two previously issued anthologies 'Myteria' and 'Mysteria Lane'. This is not to say I didn't sit right down and read the book, as the stories are great every time I read them. But for those of you who did NOT preorder this but are anticipating a NEW read, it is sadly not so. If you do read any of these authors and have NOT seen the previous anthologies, this is a great way to meet the residents of Mysteria: a truly unique town somewhere in the Rockies, populated by all kinds of people who have issues unlike you or I (except in love). All the authors, in their particularly talented voices can tell a great yarn, and they link the stories through common characters in this town. If you like a bit of the paranormal, humor and snark in your romance, this is the anthology for you.
I guess my only beef is no proper description when the item first came up for preorder, so if Amazon could fix that? This is not the first time I have had this happen, but the last one was still on my wishlist, and I double checked the decription right before I put it in the shopping cart. When I saw that I already had that item, I was able to delete it rather than buy it a second time. Still a great read!

I found this book looking for something by P.C.Cast.
Usually I hate books where a bunch of authors each write a chapter. Usually there is only one-maybe two-authors worth reading. The Mysteria ladies are not usual.

Every short story (which didn't seem short) actually fed into the next one. They have different characters, but they all belong together. I know that is the point, but these gals know how to write a character. School teachers, preachers, vampires, werewolves, goblins, faeries, witches....each one of these stories could spark a whole series by themselves.

I am glad I came across this book after Mysteria and Mysteria Lane were put together. I hope they do another one.

I eagerly purchased this book thinking it was the next one in the series, only to be disappointed that it was a combination of all the same stories in the first two books. This is NOT the first time I've made such a bogus purchase and feel this should be clarified in the description box. Boo on Amazon..they offer to allow a return, but to do so costs more than the book did initially.

The stories were wonderful and sexy also left you feeling good and warm. Thank you for writing this book. I lovedit.
The Rollers of Vildar
If you've read Mysteria and Mysteria Lane, you don't need Mysteria Nights. It's just both books in one volume. If that info was in the listing, I missed it. Also... I like the fantasy and could do without so many sex scenes. Sometimes it seems that sex scenes substitute for plot development. I'd like to see another Mysteria book explore the more of the magic and fewer descriptions of body parts.
The authors are great and their stories make you wish for more. I actually willingly bought this book twice. one for kindle and the paper back. I would love to meet more characters, i.e. Damon sibling, Jan's lover to name a couple.
