I truly believe Elizabeth Peters is a brilliant writer and I respect her very much. I was delighted to find out what had happened to the denizens of the Holy Mountain introduced in The Last Camel Died at Noon. I was strongly attracted to them when reading Camel and have wondered over the years how they faired. For me the characters of Nephret and Ramses became more understandable in this book.
