I was given the first of Catherine Coulter's FBI series books (The Cove) as a Christmas Gift and enjoyed it so very much that I wanted to read all the rest and in sequence. The Eleventh Hour is the seventh in the series and one of the best so far. Coulter's descriptions are spot on and especially her description of the grief for a lost loved one is uncomfortably real.

Catherine Coulter has a unique way of talking about the "bad guys/gals" that doesn't raise your blood pressure because her FBI dudes and dudes are so capable that you know in the end the good guys win. It takes me back to the days when the good guys wore white hats and the bad guys wore the black hats and the white hats always won!

I like all of Catherine Coulter's books. Even though there were predictable areas, and some things would not be considered true procedure, such as allowing a civilian to join in the hunt, it was still enjoyable. Too much repetition of plot and subsequent action. But on the whole, entertaining.

Another great book of great series!! After years of reading the first books of this series..I have started them all over...Had forgotten so much of very technical and interesting points of facts in the fictional story that made the total package!! Very glad I've kept them through the years to be able to reread all again..excellent for all time !!!

This isn't an anti-Coulter rant, or even one of those "she-should-stick-with-historicals" nostalgia pieces. This author can nearly always be counted on for high-camp entertainment, and I enjoyed the dickens out of the prequel to this book, "Maze."

But honestly, I can't think of anything positive to say here. Usually, I have no problem setting a book aside once I know it's not going to grab me; there are so many great ones still unread, why waste time? In this case, I kept reading because I assumed the two plotlines would be woven together, which would have been worth waiting for if only because there seemed to be no connection at all.

Caution: Spoiler

There was no connection at all. It's as if Coulter had two half-baked ideas - a serial killer, and a woman who fears that her fiance is trying to kill her - and rather than develop either idea into something worth calling a "thriller," she poured them into this bland little casserole-dish of a book and served them as the house special.

With the time I wasted waiting for the startling plot twist that never came, I could have learned to fold fitted sheets like Martha Stewart.

Skip this one, fellow Coulter fans. There's not even an obligatory forced-sex scene to be indignant about.

Another excellent read in the thrilling FBI series. Begiining with the brutal murder of a priest, the mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Who was Tennesseans who was next the twist and turns of two stories will they show up in next story
Her books are exciting and keep you on your toes trying to figure out what is happening in each book. This was her first book I read and thoroughly enjoyed the fact that I didn't want to put the book down and even read it a little more when I woke up at night. A great series and I am working my way through all books in the series. Currently I am reading "Knock Out" and have read 4 others including the Eleventh Hour.
