Tuesday, written and illustrated by David Wiesner, is a 1991 wordless picture book published by Clarion Books. Tuesday received the 1992 Caldecott Medal for illustrations and was Wiesner's first of three Caldecott Medals that he has won during his career. Wiesner subsequently won the Caldecott Medal in 2002 for The Three Pigs, and the 2007 medal for Flotsam.
Peggy Rusike grew up in Zimbabwe. She was the chairperson of Zimbabwe Women Writers Harare Branch from 1997 -1999. This is Peggy Rusike's first novel. She has published short stories, and newspaper articles. The time she wrote this book she was living in the United Kingdom.

Peggy Sue Gerron Rackham of Lubbock died Monday at University Medical Center, according to UMC spokesman Eric Finley. She was 78. The family gave the hospital permission to confirm the death, but asked that no additional information be released, Finley said Tuesday. Peggy Sue Gerron in 2008 released her autobiography Whatever Happened to Peggy Sue?: A Memoir by Buddy Holly’s Peggy Sue to mark the 50th anniversary of the song. I wanted to give him (Holly) his voice. It’s my book, my memoirs, she said about her book, according to a 2008 Associated Press story. We were very, very good friends. He was probably one of the best friends I ever had.
