FOUR CORNERS OF HOUSE book. I had never heard of this writer before and chanced upon his book in the library. Not an enticing cover, but the first line of the first short story (The Red Dress) attracted me. Rothberg was a writer with great control and subtlety. Intriguing and impressive stories using symbolism for profound impact. Some stories are moving and some are puzzling, but not in a way that frustrates me.
