And even more so when one of my favourite authors ever is the author, adding her own special flavour to the first story of the series (original). I loved this and even though I didn't really experience Star Wars as I kid, this book made me feel like I was a kid experiencing Star Wars for the first time (although I've been spoiled for MANY things). I'm currently reading the book adaptation for Empire Strikes Back. I'm enjoying this series so far and I cannot wait to watch all the movies!

Hated Pillars, love Tyranny. Finally I bought Tyranny today and went in completely dark. Unlike when I played Pillars for the first time, I'm simply blown away without ever being needlessly confused. Last year was kind of weird to me, since Pillars got universal praise, while I personally didn't like it at all. The characters were bland, the writing was stale and filled with inconsistencies, the story and overall world building stole bits and pieces from other RPG's, the mundane dialog, choices had no consequences, the stronghold was completely pointless, and the actual gameplay/combat was quite atrocious. I bought Tyranny today and went in completely dark.
