Ann Arbor Car Ferry No. 5. Built in 1910 by the Toledo Shipbuilding Company in Toledo, O. Built in 1910 by the Toledo Shipbuilding Company in Toledo, OH. Designed by Frank E. Kirby, along the general pattern of Robert Logana Pere Marquette Railroad ferries, she was 360′ long with a 5. ′ beam and an 1. ′ draft; tonnage was 2884 gross and 1961 net; and had four Scotch boilers at 13' 6" x 12', 185 ps. On September 22, 1913, Ann Arbor No. 5 struck bottom in the Sturgeon Bay Canal and damaged her rudder and steering gear. After undergoing repairs at Milwaukee, she was back in service in October.
