A compilation of letters and historical facts concerning Vince Joy and his wife as they moved to south central Alaska prior to statehood to be missionaries to the Native people.

The school was established in 1966 by missionary Vincent James Joy, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute who became a pioneer missionary to the Ahtna people and also founded Central Alaskan Missions (which is now a branch of SEND International). Joy began ABC with a focus on theological education for those preparing for ministry within Alaska. A primary distinctive of the school is its emphasis on training individuals, including Alaska Natives, for rural ministry in the Far North.

The book followed the amazing life and legacy of James Fraser and his missionary efforts with Tribal Chinese groups. I think the format of the biography was a little poorly organized at first and It reads very choppy the first quarter of the book. Once you get past the writing the story of James Fraser really comes into focus.
