Simplicity and freedom are made for each other and supposed to fit together life. Richard Rohr shows how this can be done if we allow ourselves to let go of all the nonessential things in our lives. This is a beautiful book. Richard Rohr is a very lovely writer. His style is insightful, and deep, soul diving, yet simple and very concise. I read this book in small doses, chewing and savoring every moment. It changed my life, breaking down my false pretenses and turning my heart inward to confront some walls I had made and turn them in to bridges.

My own thoughts have been along these lines lately. Richard Rohr has given me needed insight to continue my journey. He is humble in his thoughts......how refreshing. I may not agree with all but I appreciate the possibilities leading me to a greater understanding of God.

I am only beginning this book and I already call it excellent. I have read the Preface twice and the first chapter twice because it contains so much depth. These words are going to take me far beyond what I could ever think. Love to read Richard Rohr.

This is Robert Rohr at his very best. One striking example was his advice that we need to let go of three things: first, the compulsion to be successful, second, the compulsion to be right, and third, the need to be in control. This book is one which can easily be used as a 30 minute start for the day. The theme throughout deals with letting go.

This is a very thought provoking book and it challenges some of my long held beliefs. I recommend it for anyone who wants to explore a different perspective on spirituality. Richard Rohr presents ideas that are worthy of consideration. I look forward to taking this journey.

Father Rohr spends quite a bit of time showing how complicated and hectic and busy our world can be, and shows us the path to a much simpler, much more spiritual, and therefore much better, place.
Richard Rohr is an excellent writer and spiritual leader, good book
