We are slowly working through the book with our 11 year old and 9 year old. They appreciate it very much, as do we. It is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, and it provides them with an excellent way to view life and approach its joys, sorrows, and challenges. The visuals are very helpful.

It is fun to make copies of the coloring page for all the kids to color while I read to them. Gets the conversation about God going and curiosity leads to questions, which is wonderful! My 6 yr old really gets a lot out of it. My younger ones mostly enjoy coloring. :0)

This book is great for parents wishing to introduce their children to Ignatian Spirituality. It is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Its pictures are detailed black and white. These visual aides are explained well. There are yes or no questions at the end. Target age group is for children between the ages of 9 and 12. I believe you can adapt them to younger ages by explaining the pictures yourself. As for kids over 12 it is a great primer or supplement to confirmation classes. I would highly recommend this to any parent striving to instill virtues in their children.

my husband is now reading it and learning quite a bit about a path to Heaven, which is something that we all need to really be aware and learn about - we highly recommend it - you will not err when buying this book

A bit dated at times with its theological approach - but well written, the artwork is sensational, and a clever catechism could surely put it to use to give children a taste of Ignatian spirituality. Kudos to whoever reissued this classic.

I love this book. It has interesting pictures which you can look at for the tiny details. The explanations are very good and thought provoking. Everything in this book follows the teachings of the Church. Reading this book is like going on a mini retreat. Even adults can benefit from this amazing book.
I took the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola course twice and it transformed my life. When I found that a book about the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius for children existed on Amazon, I was thrilled. So I ordered 2 copies for my nephew and for my niece for Christmas. The Spiritual Exercises help us to learn to live our Catholic faith. Every Catholic should consider. You may begin reading this book to see what it is all about.
