My toddler is CRAZY about this book! We're on our third copy and have also given this as a gift. But I can only give 4 stars because the pages and binding tear SO easily, and at its size (quite large), a toddler really has a lot of page to turn "carefully" which isn't likely to happen. I've had to reinforce all of the page edges and the binding with scotch tape! Also, the book should come with the audio CD or, better yet, a link and code to download the audio CD. That's the best part, my toddler loves to read along with the song!

Bought multiple copies of this for toddler and preschool classrooms, plus my own youngest family members. Children love the song and join in quickly. Highly recommend for any children 2-5 (from my experience) and maybe older!

We love this sing-a-long! I wish the first line was "puffer-bellies" like the original, but this expands that in great ways. I'm okay with the art.
I've read this to a classroom of 2 year olds and this was evidently one of the very few books the children sat through the whole way.

We checked it out at the library and my three year old has never reacted that strongly to a library book before. We read it over and over, night after night so we decided to buy it for him for Christmas.

My three and one year old sons love this book. I sing the words to the tune of the song and they love it! The illustrations are great and the places they go are great...firehouse, racetrack, sailboats, construction site with excavators, etc. Definitely topics little boys love. Update: we have had this book for over 2 months now and our one year old brings this book to us multiple times a day so we can read it to him. I love this book!

If you have a child that likes to move, this is a great book to read with a rhythm or just sing it and they can dance, wiggle and move along while you read it. Yes, the melody is repetitive, but the scenes change and the repetition helps your child learn the words!! A great find.

Somehow this is captivating for my son. Not sure why, but at almost 2 years old he loves this. I have sung ()yes) the lyrics to this in the car to calm him down too. Maybe it is some sort of magic combination of libretto and music, but hey, it works.

Any book that you can sing to is a hit at our house. (To the tune of "down by the bay" for this)Pair that with the big pictures of things that go and it was an easy favorite at bedtime.
