I bought this book when I taught kindergarten. It has nice large print that is easy to read. There are 1-2 sentences per page. There are large colorful pictures of food and people. I wish it was a little more ethnically diverse people throughout the book. Best as I can tell, the only ethnicity shown is Caucasian and Asian.

I like that there is a table of contents, index, and picture glossary which includes the words: exercise, healthy, and nutrient. The pictures are clear and there are examples of each of the five food groups. I wish the book was a little larger, but it works well to use at rug time or if you have a document camera you could display it up on the board.

I would recommend this book as a supplement to curriculum about health for grades PK-2nd. The back of the book shows that there are six other books in the "Healthy Eating" series for each of the food groups (they split fruits and vegetables). I would be interested to see what these books look like. I would be willing to buy another book from this series.
