Swim Polar Bear, Swim! Paperback – 1 Sep 1996. My daughter and I read this while learning about polar bears, but this is a great book for any kid struggling with something new (potty training, starting school, even swimming!).

When he tries, and tries, and finally is swimming on his own - my audience cheers for him! They're all clapping by the end of the story! The pictures are very engaging and warm.
