I thought this was a really good book that talked about being clean and taking a bath. I would recommend this book to younger students who may not like to take baths or be clean. The text was a little longer, but the pictures made for an easy read. I would use this book in the classroom to teach students about hygiene and why its important to be clean.

We bought this book for our niece's baby because both of my daughters loved this book as children. It is a fun and funny story with bold, and memorable illustrations. The story line is something that most children can relate to--not wanting to take a bath. Both of my daughters resisted taking baths as little girls, so that might have been the key to making this a classic in our house.

I would love to see the authors re-publish this book with all female characters because there are not enough good childhood books with female role models in them, and research shows that girls learn more from watching or reading about girl characters, than they do watching or reading about boy characters. When my daughters were too young to notice the difference, I substituted female pronouns for the male, but would have enjoyed much more not having to do so.

I have two young sons who are 3 & 4 years old. Everynight before bedtime, they get to pick out six books for us to read before they get tucked in, and everynight, this book is one they want to hear!
We've gotten into the habit of me pointing at them when it's time and they get to say, "I don't want to take a bath!" And always, at the end of the reading, they tell me that they think it's funny that he doesn't like baths...because they LOVE bathtime! My 4 year old suggests that Little Tiger take a few floaty toys with him to the stream and he'll have even more fun.
Wonderful book! I highly recommend it to all children! Not only is it a great message, but it allows the youngsters to become involved in the story.
lets go baby
This is my four-year-old boy's current favorite book! Since it is rather short, we read it at least twice a night. My son can understand how Little Tiger feels, because sometimes he too, does not want to take a bath. But in the end, everyone ends up clean and happy!
