Standard Handbook for Secretaries book.
Standard Handbook for Secretaries BY LOIS IRENE HUTCHINSON.
Standard Handbook for Secretaries Hardcover – June 1, 1969. by Lois Irene Hutchinson (Author). It is hard to imagine that a 20 year old reference book could be more complete and up-to-date than any more recent book I have seen, but this one is. It is also easier to use than any other book I have seen.
It details the many skills involved in being a secretary and includes chapters on punctuation, dictation, copying and much more. This is a fascinating work and is thoroughly recommended for anyone interested in learning secretarial skills. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce.
