I loved this book! It had a different approach to managing money and budgeting, adding a fun factor helps one remain positive.

Amazing - after reading this I was motivated to hide my money in an offshore Panamanian slush fund and then, through my lawyers, pretend it wasn't mine by paying a British geriatric to say it was his. She's an inspiration!

...and I've read a lot of them! I just got the book and devoured it, since my New Year's resolution is to make more money. The author has a very clear sense of purpose in this book, which she expertly conveys to the reader. I like the way she combines the basics (clean up credit, balance checkbook, save for an emergency) with stories of well known and successful woman and empowering and specific advice about how to move beyond simply balancing your budget but creating wealth and starting a business. The author is an up from the bootstraps gal, which I find inspiring. There's nothing worse than a finance book written by someone who inherited their money. And, like I said, it's an energetic, fun read. If a finance book could be a page turner, this would be it!

I am a young woman and am trying to get a second college degree. I was hoping to find a book that would help me manage my finances and achieve my goals while keeping myself financially independent from my parents. Unfortunately, this book did not deliver. You could boil this book down to about ten pages of practical advice. The rest is filled with anecdotal stories and cutesy activities. I really wanted a straightforward and practical guide to getting everything in order so that I could take charge of my own financial life. This book is more like an inspiration book to help you see that you should own your financial situation rather than a guide on how to actually get your situation under control.

Funny and entertaining. Advice from a high view.

How odd! I tried to leave a bad review for this book because it contains idiotic advice and she's a criminal. It got rejected. Well done.

See today's Panama Papers: How a British man, 90, covered for a US millionaire By Richard Bilton BBC Panorama online at[...] and how Marianna Olszewski was helped by Mossack Fonseca was willing to help. It offered to provide somebody who would pretend to be the real - or beneficial - owner of the cash. so she could decieve a bank and got her money back in the midst of the 2008 Financial Crisis But in 2008, at the height of the financial crisis, she decided she wanted to get her $1.8m back. She replied: "I do think we should go ahead with the natural person however I want to have your promise that you… will handle this in the most sensitive manner."

The "natural person" Mossack Fonseca offered turned out to be a 90-year-old British citizen.

Mossack Fonseca told Ms Olszewski that the service would be expensive because it was so sensitive. Fees were normally $30,000 (about £20,000 at the time) for the first year and $15,000 for every subsequent year. But she was offered a discount - just $10,000 for year one and $7,500 for every year after.
One reason for the high cost is likely to have been the degree of deception. Another email from Mossack details what would be involved:
"We need to hire the Natural Person Nominee, pay him, make him sign lots of documents to cover us, make him sign resignations, make him get some proofs evidencing that he has the economic capacity to place such amount of moneys, letters of reference, proof of domicile, etc, etc."
It's a blatant breach of anti-money laundering rules, but Ms Olszewski signed up anyway.
This is a must read!!!! Throughout my career- I have read many business book, but I have to admit, LIVE IT LOVE IT EARN IT- brought a new perspective to my live and my career. Marianna is an inspiration - and through her stories has truly given me the confidence to have a strategy with my money and my life!
The best part of this book- it's full of real-life examples and stories, business facts and tips- and it never get dull! I highly recommend this book for everyone!
